FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINEMA E SAÚDE MENTAL

O Museu Municipal de faro recebe entre os dias 9 e 11 de Outubro a II edição do FICSAM | Festival Internacional de Cinema e Saúde Mental, que tem a concurso cerca de 58 filmes centrados no tema da saúde mental, oriundos de todo o mundo, num evento que apresenta também várias actividades paralelas.

 

Além do cinema, haverá palestras, uma exposição de trabalhos realizados pelos utentes do Forúm Sócio Ocupacional da ASMAL | Associação de Saúde Mental do Algarve intitulada "Recriando a nossa Herança", uma exposição da pintora PULITA sobre o universo psicológico de Fernando Pessoa ,"O desassossego de Fernando Pessoa" e pelo projecto LLartproject de Sofia Trincão e Leif Lønne e ainda um workshop de cinema intensivo digital dinamizado por Diogo Pessoa de Andrade.

 

Organizado pela Associação Inconsciente Coletivo e pela Direcção Geral da Saúde, o festival tem este ano como tema Viver com a Esquizofrenia, tema proposto pela World Mental Health Federation (WMHF) para as comemorações do Dia Mundial da Saúde Mental (10 de Outubro). Será apresentada também uma palestra subordinada ao tema dinamizada por técnicos da Associação de Saúde Mental do Algarve e pela equipa do Serviço de Psiquiatria e Saúde Mental do Hospital Central do Algarve.

 

A organização do festival recebeu para esta edição perto de 300 filmes. Os filmes selecionados serão submetidos à avaliação do público. Para além das categorias de ficção, documentário, animação, experimental e videoclip há ainda a categoria em que participam filmes realizados por alunos de escolas de cinema portuguesas e internacionais.

 

Este evento pretende, através das artes, nomeadamente o cinema, contribuir para sensibilizar o público em geral para as questões relacionadas com a saúde mental dos indivíduos, combater o estigma e a discriminação associada a este tipo de problemáticas e contribuir para promover os direitos humanos das pessoas com doença mental. 

 

A organização convida todos a estarem presentes no dia de abertura do FICSAM, entre as 18 e as 19 horas, para a inauguração as exposições. 

 

Os bilhetes para as sessões de filmes podem ser adquiridos no Museu Municipal de Faro durante os dias do evento a partir das 18.00 horas. Têm o custo de 3 euros.

 

The Municipal Museum of Faro receives between 9 and 11 October the II edition of FICSAM | International Festival of Cinema and Mental Health, which has about 58 film contest focused on the theme of mental health, from around the world, a event also features several parallel activities. 

 

Besides the movies, there will be a conference, an exhibition of works made ​​by users of the Socio Occupational Forum Asmal | Mental Health Association of the Algarve titled "Recreating our Heritage," one exposition of the painter Pulita about the psychological universe of Fernando Pessoa "The unrest of Fernando person "and the LLartproject draft Sofia Trincão and Leif Lønne and even a workshop of intensive digital film animated by Diogo Pessoa de Andrade. 

 

Organized by the Collective Unconscious Association and the General Directorate of Health, the festival this year has the theme Living with Schizophrenia, theme proposed by the World Mental Health Federation (WMHF) for the commemoration of World Mental Health Day (10 October). On the theme spurred by technicians of the Mental Health Association of the Algarve and the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health, the Algarve Central Hospital team talk will be also presented. 

 

The festival organizers received for this edition close to 300 films. The selected films will be accepted from the public. 

 

In addition to the categories of fiction, documentary, animation, experimental and music video there is the category in which they participate films made by students of film schools and Portuguese international. 

 

This event aims, through the arts, especially film, contribute to sensitize the general public on issues related to mental health of individuals, combat stigma and discrimination associated with this type of problems and help to promote the human rights of people with mental illness. 

 

The organization invites all to attend the opening day, between 18 and 19 hours on 9th October.

 

Tickets for the film sessions can be purchased at the Municipal Museum of Faro during the days of the event from 18:00 hours. Have the cost of 3 euros.
